Entry Packets

  1. Two (2) DVD-R* screening discs must be submitted for each entry.
  2. Each disc must be clearly labeled with title, director, contact telephone number, and running time.
  3. A completed and signed EIS Film entry form shall accompany each entry. Filmmakers under age 18 must have signature of parent or guardian on entry form.
  4. A 30- to 50-word summary of the entry story line. This will be printed and included in the festival program and may be submitted to the press.
  5. A biography, not more then 50 words, of the director/producer for use during awards prestantion.

    *Entries that are not formatted for NTSC players will not be accepted.

Rules
Shorts must be under 30 minutes in length, features may be no longer then 90 minutes.

Prior to the festival, all entires will be reviewed by the board before the festival. The board reserves its right to admit or reject any entry to the festival. A list of the films accepted will be posted on the website (www.esifilm.com) prior to the event.

Only completed and edited films will be accepted.

Only films in DVD-R format will be admitted. summisions that are not compatible for running in a NTSC DVD player will not be accepted.

Entries will not be returned unless specifically requested by the filmmaker/production company. Return postage and mailing label must be included with the entry.

The Emerging Student and Independent Film Festival reserves the right to use submitted entry clips for the promotional purposes only, unless prohibited by:

  1. Production company policy on the use of film (in part or its entirety) for purposes other than its own promotion*; or
  2. Copyrights.

*Disclaimer: Unless specifically stated on the entry form, the Emerging Student and Independent Film Festival will assume that the use of a film is authorized by the director and /or producer/production company for use by of the Festival for promotional purposes and/or its award ceremony.
